Dutch Government to re-classify cannabis

 

Netherlands to consider drug policy reforms

On page 49 in the Queensland Sunday Mail dated 26.06.2011 the following.
 
AMSTERDAM: The Netherlands may be famous for its liberal drugs policies but the Dutch government is about to declare some forms of cannabis are as dangerous as cocaine and heroin.  A commission has found marijuana on sale in coffee shops in the Netherlands contain around 18 percent tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, which is the main psychoactive substance.

Experts said a concentration above 15 per cent constitutes a hard drug on par with cocaine and herion.
